Terms & Conditions

GGCL Events ("GGCL", "we", "us") operates a platform for event voting, award nominations, and ticketing at ggcl.events, together with related access via USSD, WhatsApp, and Telegram. These Terms govern anyone who uses the Platform in any capacity — browsing an event, casting a vote, submitting a nomination, buying a ticket, or organising an event. By using the Platform in any way, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

• Platform — the GGCL Events website, USSD service, and any connected bot or channel we operate.
• Organiser — the individual or group who creates and runs an event on the Platform.
• User / Participant — anyone who votes, nominates, or buys a ticket through the Platform, whether or not they hold an account.
• Nominee — a person entered into a contest or award on the Platform, whether they submitted themselves or were added by someone else.
• Content — any text, image, or other material submitted to the Platform by an Organiser or a User.

You must be able to form a binding contract under the laws of your country to use the Platform. Casting a vote, submitting a nomination, or buying a ticket does not require creating an account — only organising an event does. Where an account is required, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login details confidential. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.

You agree to use the Platform only for its intended purpose and in line with these Terms and applicable law. Access to a particular event — including its nominee list, ticket availability, and pricing — is controlled by that event's Organiser, not by GGCL. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time, including a specific event tool, without it affecting your rights under these Terms for activity that already took place.

• Votes are counted as recorded by the Platform at the time of successful payment or confirmation. Once confirmed, a vote cannot be transferred, reassigned, or withdrawn.
• Nominating someone is a representation that the information you submit about them is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Nominating a person does not guarantee their entry will be approved — the Organiser reviews and approves nominations for their own event.
• USSD, WhatsApp, and Telegram voting are subject to the same rules as web voting, plus any limits imposed by the network or messaging provider you use to access them.
• Vote pricing, free-vote quotas, and any voting rounds or bundles are set by the Organiser for their event, not by GGCL.

• A ticket confirms your entry to the event named on it, subject to the Organiser's own entry conditions (age limits, dress code, capacity, and similar).
• Your ticket and its QR code are personal to the purchase — treat the code as you would a physical ticket. GGCL is not responsible for a ticket that is lost, shared, or used by someone else before you arrive.
• Ticket prices, tier availability, and any sold-out status are set and controlled by the Organiser.
• The event itself — including its date, venue, lineup, and whether it goes ahead — is entirely the Organiser's responsibility, not GGCL's.

Payments on the Platform are processed through licensed third-party payment providers (including card and Mobile Money channels). GGCL does not store your full card or Mobile Money credentials. By making a payment, you confirm you are authorised to use the payment method provided. A payment confirmation from the provider is treated as confirmation of your vote, nomination, or ticket purchase.

• Votes and nominations are final once payment is confirmed and are not refundable, except where required by law.
• Tickets — refund eligibility is set by the Organiser for their own event. If an event is cancelled or does not take place, contact the Organiser directly in the first instance; GGCL will assist where an Organiser cannot be reached.
• If you believe a payment was made in error or without your authorisation, contact us using the details in Section 22 as soon as possible.

If you submit Content to the Platform — a nominee photo, a bio, a message — you confirm you have the right to share it and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights. You grant GGCL a licence to display that Content on the Platform for as long as it's needed to run the event it relates to. GGCL may remove Content that violates these Terms or applicable law without notice.

• Contact details you provide (phone, email) are used to process your payment, deliver your ticket or vote confirmation, and let you look up your own activity later.
• An Organiser can see data for participants in their own event only — not across other events on the Platform.
• GGCL does not sell your personal data to third parties.
• Data connected to an event is retained for a reasonable period after the event closes and then removed or anonymised.

You agree not to:

• Use automated tools, bots, or multiple accounts to cast votes or inflate any count on the Platform
• Submit false, misleading, or impersonating nominee information
• Attempt to access another user's account, ticket, or payment information
• Interfere with the normal operation of the Platform, including USSD, WhatsApp, or Telegram access
• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose

The Platform is provided on an "as-is" basis. GGCL is not responsible for the conduct of Organisers, the accuracy of event details they publish, or whether an event actually takes place as advertised. To the extent permitted by law, GGCL's total liability to any user arising from use of the Platform is limited to the amount that user paid through the Platform for the specific transaction in question.

GGCL may suspend or restrict access to the Platform for any user or account that violates these Terms, including for suspected fraud or abuse. Where you hold an account, you may stop using the Platform at any time; this does not entitle you to a refund for activity that already occurred.

GGCL may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continuing to use the Platform after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any dispute arising from use of the Platform will first be addressed by contacting GGCL directly using the details in Section 22.

By creating an event on GGCL Events, the organiser agrees to be bound by these Terms & Conditions in full. If you do not agree, you may not create or publish events on the platform. These terms form a binding agreement between GGCL and the organiser for each event created.

GGCL deducts the following fees from revenue collected on behalf of organisers. All fees are deducted automatically before payout — the organiser receives the net amount.

GGCL may provide nominee and event flyer design services upon request by the organiser. These services are subject to a separate written agreement between GGCL and the organiser, which must be signed before any design work commences. The agreement will specify:

• The number of flyers to be designed
• The service fee per flyer or total fee
• The payment terms (upfront, on delivery, or deducted from payout)
• Delivery timeline and revision policy

• Payout requests are processed within 24–48 hours of approval.
• Platform fees (votes, nominations, tickets) are deducted automatically before payout. The organiser receives the net amount.
• Minimum payout amount is GHS 10.00.
• Payouts are sent to the MoMo or bank account registered by the organiser in the dashboard.
• GGCL reserves the right to delay or hold payouts for events under fraud investigation, dispute, or where chargebacks are pending.
• Flyer design fees, if any, will be deducted from the payout per the separate written agreement.

• The organiser is solely responsible for the legitimacy of their event, the accuracy of nominee information, and compliance with applicable Ghanaian law.
• GGCL reserves the right to reject, suspend, or remove any event at any time without notice if it violates these terms, is suspected of fraud, or is deemed inappropriate.
• Vote manipulation, artificial inflation of vote counts, or any attempt to defraud voters or nominees is strictly prohibited. Such events will be suspended immediately and payouts forfeited pending investigation.
• The organiser must not use GGCL's platform to collect money for events that do not take place without refunding voters and ticket buyers.

GGCL provides the platform on an "as-is" basis. While we strive for 100% uptime, GGCL is not liable for:

• Revenue lost due to platform downtime, payment provider outages, or network issues beyond our control
• Disputes between organisers and voters/ticket buyers
• Inaccurate event information provided by the organiser

GGCL's total liability to any organiser shall not exceed the total platform fees paid to GGCL for the event in question.
